Senior and trumpeter Jonathan Dely ’15 offers an evening of small group jazz. Joining him are Kris Allen, alto saxophone, Jack Ferguson ’18, tenor saxophone; Andy Jaffe and Jen Allen, piano; and Avery Sharpe, bass. Drummer Jonathan Barber rounds out this group.
The concert features such classics as Cantaloupe Island by Herbie Hancock, When I Fall in Love by Victor Young, and others.
Jonathan Dely is a musician, composer, and arranger in the jazz arts. He currently attends Williams College where he studies English, works as the college’s teaching assistant in jazz, leads multiple on-campus music groups, and is the Founder/President of the student organization, Jazz at Williams. After graduating in June 2015, Jonathan will be moving to New York City to attend the Manhattan School of Music on a near full-tuition scholarship in the Graduate Program for Jazz Trumpet Performance.
