Rohini Pande is the Rafik Hariri Professor of International Political Economy at Harvard Kennedy School. She is the keynote speaker of the CDE Gender and Development Conference, presenting on “Women and Work: The Role of Norms.” She is an economist who examines the economic costs and benefits of informal and formal institutions in the developing world and the role of public policy in affecting change. Her research focuses on gender, environmental regulation and state capacity and accountability.
