The Williams Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Kris Allen is our premier jazz group, performing works from throughout the big band canon, with a special focus on modern compositions.
Williams amazing homegrown jazz talent past and present takes the stage in this concert. Featuring a very deep bench of soloists and superb section players, the Williams Jazz Ensemble presents composers and arrangers like Williams alumni Stephen Sondheim, Art Lande, and Charlie Dougherty; faculty Andy Jaffe and Kris Allen. Beautiful tunes: Hallelujah, I Remember, The Single Petal of a Rose.
