Music, Theatre, and Dance collaborate on an innovative production of Stravinsky’s L’histoire du soldat with music by Williams Symphonic Winds. Based on a Russian folktale, L’histoire du soldat, roughly translated as The Soldier’s Tale, follows the story of a soldier who trades his fiddle to the devil for a book that predicts the future. Program also includes new collaborations by student composers Alex Creighton ’10, Brian Simalchik ’10, and Rob Pasternak ’11, and choreographers.
