
Ramadan Storytime: Community Potluck Iftar & BBQ | 7-8:30 PM, Sat, April 6th, Dodd Dining Hall

Join the Muslim Student Union (MSU), Arabic Studies, and Storytime at the last Ramadan Community Potluck Iftar (the sunset meal when Muslims deliver their fast to the Divine in Ramadan*) and BBQ before the conclusion of Ramadan. Muslim students will be sharing their Ramadan stories, memories, experiences, learnings, and wisdom from their different cultures and backgrounds from all over the world. All Williams College students, faculty, staff, spouses/partners, families, and children of all ages are invited. Please fill this Google form because we need volunteers for grilling, set-up, and clean-up including more volunteers to share their stories:
Community Potluck, BBQ, and Possible Stargazing Event
Halal/vegetarian burgers and a special Arabic dessert will be provided by the MSU and Arabic Studies. Bring an appetizer, desert, fruit, or non-alcoholic drink with your own serving spoons. Please note that Muslims can only consume halal meats which are not readily available in the Berkshires. Seafood and vegetarian/vegan options are the safest if you are unable to get halal meat. Please label allergens such as dairy and nuts.

- Where: Dodd Dining Hall, Dodd Dining Room, Dodd House, 64 Mission Park Drive
- Schedule:
- 7 PM: Gather, set-up, meet and greet
- 7:24 PM: Sunset, delivering/opening of fast often with fresh dates and water, followed with maghrib congregational prayer
- 7:35 PM: Iftar, sunset meal + Dinner
- 8:30 PM: Clean-up
