Paul Green is Artist Associate in Clarinet at Williams. Along with fellow faculty member Doris Stevenson, he offers a concert that highlights many of his musical talents. He is a performer with formidable credentials and in the course of his career has delved into classical, jazz, klezmer, solo, chamber, and symphonic music. Also a successful attorney and law professor, Paul Green has never been able to suppress his passion or drive for music.
The program opens with Sonata for Clarinet and Piano by Poulenc. This is followed by Brahms Sonata in F Minor for Clarinet and Piano, op. 120, No.1. After an intermission they present Premiere Rhapsody for Clarinet and Piano by Debussy Violinist Curtis Macomber joins Mr. Green for the last two selections, “Three for Two” for Violin and Clarinet by Meyer Kupferman, and Bartok’s “Contrasts” for Violin, Clarinet and Piano.
