All sorts of life are rising from the ground: flowers, worms, mosquitoes… and a giant purple daikon! This Sunday, May 4th 1pm, promptly starting in front of Spencer Art Studio; rain or shine, there will be a parade of the giant daikon, ending with a gathering on Stone Hill. This daikon root has been growing in the art studio for a while now as part of Riku Nakano’s senior studio art thesis.
The parade itself will be about 20 minutes. Bring anyone who is interested! The more the merrier! Let’s share this joyous occasion of the harvest together to celebrate all of our times here in Williamstown!
