Master Class - Cappella Pratensis - Visiting Artist Series

The Williams College Department of Music presents a master class with visiting artists Cappella Pratensis, and featuring talented Williams music students. This master class focuses on singing from Renaissance musical notation. Audience are invited to experience the mysteries of singing a splendid Renaissance motet from old notation as Cappella Pratensis initiates Williams choir students into this ancient musical practice. This event is free and open to the public.

Cappella Pratensis is an ensemble of eleven fellows from the Netherlands specializing in sacred vocal music of the Renaissance. In addition to this event, Cappella Pratensis will perform on Saturday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Chapin Hall. This event is also free and open to the public.

Cappella Pratensis is presented by the Williams College Department of Music with the generous support of the W. Ford Schumann ’50 Performing Arts Endowment.
