Open Lab Weekend

On August 20-21, 2010, join us for two days of performance and presentation that will be the culmination of the 2010 Summer Theatre Lab.The slate of projects includes Tom Stoppard’s THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND starring Adam LeFevre ’72 and Michael Winther ’85. This production is directed by Lab Artistic Director Kevin O’Rourke ’78 with set design by Kate Foster ’08, and will feature members of the undergraduate Lab company. There will also be student directed readings and presentations, alumni initiated projects, and an “alumni in the arts” panel discussion. Friday, August 20th
8:00PM — THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND by Tom Stoppard
Directed by Kevin O’Rourke ’78

Starring Adam LeFevre ’72, Michael Winther ’85 and the 2010 student company.

10:00PM — FISH OUT OF WATER
What happens when the freedom and unpredictability of Improv, meets the demands and structure of a scripted performance? A presentation conceived and performed by the student company.

Saturday, August 21st
2:00 PM — Short pieces from the 2010 season.
A presentation of selected short plays and other work from the Lab’s 7 week season.

3:30 PM — “After Williams: Theatre, Film and Performance as a Career”
A panel discussion exploring the different paths and possibilities pursued by a range of Williams Alumni. Featured speakers include: video artist and designer Jon 9 (aka Jon Stolzberg ’79), actor Adam LeFevre ’72, TV producer Steve Wertimer ’77 and other professional alumni. 8:00PM — An encore performance of THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND closes the weekend.
