Assalamu alaikum (peace be on all of you),
Muslims on campus and all over the world are in the sacred month of Ramadan* and most of them are fasting daily from dawn to sunset until Tuesday, April 9th.
Muslim Chaplain Sidra Mahmood invites Williams College faculty, staff, spouses/partners, families, and students who are around during Spring Break to join the Williams College Muslim community over iftar, the sunset meal when Muslims deliver their fast to the Divine.
Bring a salad, appetizer, entrée, desert, or non-alcoholic drink with your own serving spoons. Please note that Muslims can only consume halal meats which are not readily available in the Berkshires. Seafood and vegetarian/vegan options are the safest if you are unable to get halal meat. Please label allergens such as dairy and nuts.
Please email Muslim Chaplain Sidra Mahmood at sm45@williams.edu if you are able to help out to clean-up after the event between 8-8:30PM.

Where: The Oakley Center, 90 Denison Park Drive, Williamstown, MA 01267
Schedule:
- 6:30 PM: Gather, set-up, meet and great
- 7:02 PM (Mar 17) and 7:10 (Mar 24): Sunset, delivering/opening of fast followed with maghrib congregational prayer
- 7:20 PM: Iftar, sunset meal + Dinner
- 8 PM: Clean-up
