The Williams College Department of Music will present a senior recital featuring Lauren Glaves on Sunday, May 1 at 2 p.m. in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall on the Williams College campus. This free event is open to the public.

Glaves will sing music by Mozart, Donizetti, Rossini, Handel, Schumann, Debussy, Poulenc, and Charles.

She will be joined by pianist Lauren McDonald ’12 and violinist Joshua Rim ’11.

Soprano Lauren Glaves of Peekskill, New York is a senior at Williams College. She is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in Music with an emphasis on vocal performance under Andy Truex, as well as a major in art history. Born and raised in the Bronx, Lauren grew up singing in her household with her grandmother, and she began classical voice lessons during high school. At Williams she has performed with the Williams Concert Choir, chamber groups, and in department recitals. Lauren also presented a recital last fall of repertoire she studied at the Bel Canto Institute in Florence, Italy during the summer. After graduation she plans to pursue a career in arts administration in New York.
