Set in a world of political intrigue and strained domestic relationships, Shakespeare’s transcendent historical drama traces the epic rise and fall of one of the world’s most notorious leaders through the plight of Marcus Brutus. Aquila’s production makes newly topical and relevant the central moral and political dilemma of this classic study of the use, abuse, and undermining of power.

Founded in London in 1991 by Peter Meineck and now based in New York City, Aquila is one of the foremost producers of touring classical theatre in the United States, visiting 60 to 70 cities per year. The company is also a major part of New York’s theatrical landscape.
