Jo Ann Beard to give reading

Jo Ann Beard is the author of the groundbreaking collections of autobiographical essays, The Boys of My Youth and Festival Days, and the novel, In Zanesville.  Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Tin House, Best American Essays, among others.  She has received a Whiting Foundation Award and fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation and the New York Foundation for the Arts.  In 2022, she received an American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Literature.  Until recently, she taught writing at Sarah Lawrence college, and she is currently the Margaret Bundy Scott Distinguished Visiting Professor here at Williams College.
