Williams American Studies alum Jasmine Mitchell (’03) will be giving a book talk on Monday, February 20th from 4:15 to 5:30pm in Sawyer Reading Room (304). Professor Mitchell teaches American Studies and Media Studies at SUNY Old Westbury. She will be discussing her book Imagining the Mulatta: Blackness in U.S. and Brazilian Media.
The first dozen students who RSVP for the talk will receive a complimentary copy of the book (to be picked up at the talk). And two additional books will be raffled during the event!
