In a world under environmental duress that impacts humanity in catastrophic ways, it is imperative that we transition to sustainable forms of development in which we all play a role in this transformation. However, this is impossible if gender inequalities still persist amidst this march to a new reality. How is sustainable development defined according to official international groups like the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals vis-à-vis gender equality?
