Join us for a conversation with Dr. Anhlan Nguyen as she shares her experience as a refugee to the United States. Dr. Nguyen will discuss the skills that are crucial to advocacy and community building.
A lifelong activist and educator, Dr. Nguyen was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on, and later chair, the Board of the Vietnam Education Foundation, an agency established by Congress to foster connections between the United States and Vietnam through higher education exchange and research collaboration. She was also awarded the Americanism Medal by the Daughters of the American Revolution. Currently, she serves as the Executive Director of Lyceum Global Life Skills and Professional Development for Success as well as the Director of Development and Marketing for the Institute for Civic Education in Vietnam
