Fall Convocation

Fall Convocation is the ceremonial opening of the academic year. It celebrates the Senior Class and its many accomplishments and introduces six exceptionally accomplished Williams graduates who will receive  Bicentennial Medals: Phil Geier ’70, Hon. Anita Earls ’81, Rebecca Haile ’86, Bob Kim ’92, Robbi Behr ’97 and Matthew Swanson ’97.

College Chaplains will open and close the ceremony.  There will be welcoming remarks by President Maud Mandel and the Senior Class Marshals, as well as musical performances by members of the Senior Class.  Dean Gretchen Long will present the Grosvenor Cup Award as well as the seniors elected to Phi Beta Kappa at the end of their junior year.  Justice Anita Earls will deliver the Convocation address. We will end with a singing of The Mountains.
