The Conference “Finance and Development” organized by the Center for Development Economics, addresses topics relevant to central banking, finance, and global economic growth. Patrick Honohan, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland, will deliver a keynote address on “The Central Bank in Times of Crisis”, setting the stage for further discussions on crisis management and central bank strategies. Experts from the IMF, World Bank, and private companies will examine cross-border supervisory cooperation, financial inclusion, growth of digital currencies, and the impact of COVID-19 on bank lending and policy responses, among other topics. The conference will feature in-person and on-zoom presentations. 
Conference schedule is available on the conference website. Plenary on Thursday, 04/13 at 8pm in Brooks Rogers Recital Hall; full day of lectures on Friday, 04/14 in Griffin Rm 3.
