Bayesian Poker by William Ding ’24, Thursday November 16, 1:10 – 1:50pm, North Science Building 017, Wachenheim
Abstract: Poker is a game featuring both uncertainty via the draw of cards and strategy via bet sizes, bluffing, psychology etc. Because of this, poker serves as a great opportunity for applying automated reasoning. Thus, in this talk, I will discuss utilizing Bayesian networks to model the opponent’s hand and their behavior conditioned upon each hand in stud poker.
