A Noetherian Unique Factorization Domain with a Stunningly Strange Prime Ideal Structure by Prof. Susan Loepp, Williams College, Friday September 20, 1:00 – 1:50pm, North Science Building 015, Wachenheim, Faculty Seminar
Abstract: We construct a four-dimensional Noetherian Unique Factorization Domain that is as noncatenary as possible. In particular, for every height one prime ideal P, the ring A/P is not catenary. This is joint work with Alexandra Bonat ’23.
