
2025 CDE Conference: Monetary Transmission in Developing Economies

The 2025 CDE Conference will focus on the challenges faced by emerging and developing economies in the implementation monetary policy. The main themes are monetary policy transmission, dollarization, and monetary policy frameworks. Presentations will explore the role of banks in the transmission mechanism, how dollarization affects exchange rate pass-through, inflation targeting and capital controls.
The conference will open with an address by Şebnem Kalemli-Özcan from Brown University and will close with a plenary session by Eli M. Remolona, Governor of the Central Bank of the Philippines. The event will bring together leading academics and policymakers to deepen the understanding of how monetary policy works and how it can be used to enhance economic and financial stability.
