Join Nazar Magazine for a talk with Róisín Tapponi, an Iraqi-Irish curator, film programmer, and researcher. Róisín is the founder of Habibi Collective, an open-access digital archive for women’s filmmaking from Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA), and the CEO of Shasha, the first independent streaming service for SWANA film. She joins us to give a talk on the intersections between surveillance, media, and Arab essay film. After her lecture, a short Q&A and seminar discussion will follow.
