Catholicism and Judaism have a long and complicated history, including periods of conflict, as well as mutual respect. Along with Williams Catholic, WCJA is excited to welcome Msgr. Guy Massie of Brooklyn, NY, who will discuss Catholic-Jewish relations: focusing on where we are today and how this change came about. We will discuss the Second Vatican Council and Nostra Aetate, the document that is the cornerstone of modern Catholic-Jewish Relations.
Msgr Massie is pastor at Sacred Hearts and St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn, NY. He is chairperson and Vicar for the Ecumenical and Inter-Faith Commission for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn. In addition to his Catholic seminary training, he is a graduate of the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City.
