I/O FEST ’10

After a very successful debut of the I/O Fest last year, the Williams College Department of Music proudly brings it back for a second year. Performances will take place over three days from Thursday, Jan. 6 through Saturday, Jan. 8, at ’62 Center and a site TBD. These free events are open to the public.

Musicians: Jennifer Ashe, soprano; Thomas Bergeron, trumpet; Steven Bodner, saxophone; Orlanda Cela, flute; Joana Genova, violin; Matthew Gold, percussion; Nathaniel Parke, cello; and Scott Woolweaver, viola

Composers: Chaya Czernowin, David Kechley, Bernhard Lang, Eric Wubbels, and Nick Brooke

THE BOX series was conceived in 2007 by Williams composers David Kechley andIleana Perez Velazquez to present the music of living composers in setting moreintimate and a performance space more flexible than a traditional concert hall.Performers include visiting artists and groups as well as I/O New Music, the BOX house band.
