The Draxtonian Method taps into the spirit of Inside the Actor’s Studio as Jonathan Draxton appears on stage revealing the process, method, and madness that go into each character he portrays. Draxton discusses various acting techniques, performs several demonstrations of theatrical magic, and defends the pretentious labeling of acting as ‘The Work and The Craft’.

Vashti Emigh’s Inexplicable Dumbshows and Noise brings Shakespeare to life as a couple of Shakespeare enthusiasts stumble upon a troupe of actors. Together they explore themes of power, gender, and race through the lens of Shakespeare while tackling the question of what they can do with his texts today.

Honors Projects are for theatre majors who have been admitted into the Honors Program. Honors Projects may be artistic or scholarly in design and execution, and they grow from each student’s experience within curricular and extra-curricular offerings in the department. These projects build on previous academic achievements or venture into new territory, depending on the needs and goals set forth in mentorship with the theatre faculty.
