
Celebrate "Dance We Must"

Start the evening with a drink on our patio, then take the celebration inside for performances in the galleries. The historical choreography of Ted Shawn and Ruth St. Denis come to life in reconstructions by Adam H. Weinert and Erica Dankmeyer. Weinert and company perform Pierrot in the Dead City, Four Solos Based on American Folk Music, and other historic solos. Williams Artist-in-Residence in Dance Erica Dankmeyer performs a reconstruction of one of Ruth St. Denis’s earliest dances, Bakawali Nautch, 1913.
