Applications of Thin Orbits by Prof. Alex Kontorovich, Rutgers, Friday October 25, 1:00 – 1:50pm, North Science Building 015, Wachenheim, Faculty Seminar Class of 1960 Scholars
Abstract: We will discuss a number of problems ranging from graph theory to polygonal billiards to arithmetic groups which can all be attacked via techniques from the theory of “Thin Orbits.” No prior knowledge of these topics is assumed.
