FARMING NEW ENGLAND: A Deep Dive Into the Regional Food System. This experiential class includes working on area farms and learning from farmers, food policy experts, an agriculture conference, and 1-2 overnight farm trips. Farming in the winter in New England is not for the faint of heart, but in this class we dive in and volunteer on several dairy, livestock and diversified farms. You will get dirty and do manual labor, spend time with livestock, meet the farmers and other experts and spend the month immersed in New England farms while learning about the regional food system.
