Join the Muslim Student Union (MSU) and Muslim Chaplain Sidra Mahmood for a community iftar, the sunset meal when Muslims deliver their fast to the Divine in Ramadan.* All Williams College faculty, staff, spouses/partners, families, children of all ages, and students who are back from Spring Break are invited.
Bring an appetizer, desert, fruit or non-alcoholic drink with your own serving spoons. Halal Afghani/Mediterranean dinner (salad and entrée) will be catered from Mazadar Mediterranean Kitchen in Albany, NY.
Please note that Muslims can only consume halal meats which are not readily available in the Berkshires. Seafood and vegetarian/vegan options are the safest if you are unable to get halal meat. Please label allergens such as dairy and nuts.
Please email Muslim Chaplain Sidra Mahmood at sm45@williams.edu if you are able to help out to clean-up after the event between 8:00-8:30PM.

- 6:45 PM: Gather, set-up, meet and great
- 7:18 PM: Sunset, delivering/opening of fast often with fresh dates and water, followed with maghrib congregational prayer
- 7:30 PM: Iftar, sunset meal + Dinner
- 8:00 PM: Clean-up
