Lessons from a year on the road: Two alums bring free books & high assemblies to high needs schools

Throughout the 2022-2023 school year, Behr and Swanson traveled the country distributing 25,000 hardcover books and giving assemblies on creative empowerment at high-need elementary schools in each state—while living in a colorful school bus with their four kids, two dogs, and no bathroom.
They’ll share what they learned about our nation’s public schools, describe the partnerships that fueled their adventure, and explain how a year on the road in America restored their faith in humanity.
