Getting Sharked! Modeling Depredation Events in Longlining Vessels by Daniel Lee ’23, Statistics Colloquium, Wednesday, February 1, 1:10 – 1:50 pm, North Science Building 114, Wachenheim.
Abstract: A common issue when fishing with longlines is that the catch gets eaten! This talk will dive into modeling with zero-inflated and truncated negative binomial regression and how these modeling techniques can be used on depredation events (the catch getting eaten).
